Learning Objectives:

  • Describe the brain cannabinoid system.
  • Review natural and synthetic cannabinoids and the brain cannabinoid system.
  • Review the relationship/s between Cannabis and Psychosis.
  • Integrate, weigh and critique the various relationships between cannabinoid exposure and psychosis outcomes.
  • Discuss the risks of psychosis with exposure to cannabinoids with their patients and in particular with vulnerable populations.
  • Apply the knowledge about the risks of psychosis with exposure to cannabinoids in their clinical practice.
